I’m a woman who have chosen to work in the music industry and my goal is tour management. I’ve just done a tour as an assistant tour manager and one of the guys in the band told me I should read this book.

I’m not new to the web. I’ve been on it for ages. I build websites for bands and I understand the value of all the tools out there. So in the aspect of the internet, there is nothing new in the book. However – Crush It confirmed by page 3 that I have been doing everything wrong in the past in regards to my own brand. I have wanted to follow my gut instinct and go about my job as Gary explains it.

I love my job and my chosen profession. Actually I’m passionately in love with my job. It’s the kind of job where you never have a day off but you also never have a dull moment. So why don’t I get more work than I do? Because I start following my gut instinct, then go back to the conventional way and I am back on square one. Now, don’t get me wrong. That’s not how I work for my clients. With them I’m all guts and plow onwards and sure, there is the odd one out there who can’t stand me, but most people are very happy with the result I give them.

If I had only read this book when I was 18 instead of 45 I would be at the top of the mountain, now.

But I don’t think it’s too late to reach it, though.

Thanks for this book.
